    How it works

    Three steps, in this order. The month matters as much as the country.

    Pick the place and the month

    Same country, different month, different kit. Ladakh in July needs layers; Ladakh in January needs an expedition outfitter and we'll tell you so.

    Skip what you already own

    Nobody needs a second daypack. Add only the gaps. What you skip tells us what not to push at you next time.

    It arrives before you fly

    People buy days before a trip, not months. Delivery timed to your travel month is the whole point — a kit that lands after you've left is worthless.

    Questions

    Isn't all of this cheaper on Amazon?
    Most of it, yes. We're not selling access to products — you can find every item here yourself. What you're paying for is not having to research what a Sapa night actually feels like, or that Balinese temples turn you away without a sash. If that research isn't worth anything to you, buy the items individually and you'll be fine.
    Do I have to buy the whole kit?
    No, and most people shouldn't. The kit price exists because bundling is cheaper for us to ship, but a traveller who already owns boots and a daypack should buy four items, not twelve.
    How does the month change what you show me?
    Every destination has season windows with different items, different conditions and different advice. Pick a month and the kit rebuilds. Items that are specific to that season carry a coloured tag so you can see what's been added or dropped.
    What about sizing on the clothing?
    This is the hardest part of the whole idea and we won't pretend otherwise. Apparel returns are what kill clothing businesses, and a multi-item kit multiplies the risk across every garment. It's an open problem, and it's a real reason parts of a kit may end up as rental rather than purchase.
    Why would I buy a Ladakh kit I'll wear once?
    You probably wouldn't, and we'd rather say that than sell it to you. High-altitude outerwear worn on one trip is a rental proposition, not a purchase. If that's your situation, rent the outer layers locally in Leh and buy only the things you'll use again.
